It was about time to build this guitar project. I saw it my mind as soon as the first Silvia guitar model was finished. I saw the honey bird, I knew it would be a chambered guitar, I knew what the wood material would be – Elm. I saw the gold hardware. I saw everything. The name of the guitar was clear from the very beginning: Silvia Blue Bird…I just waited to have time to build it…
Body: Elm tree chambered guitar body, Elm tree DROP top (rare wood), stylish “Blue Bird” inlay representing an F- hole.
Neck: One piece, air dried heavy flamed hard Balkan Maple (rare wood)
- 12″ (304.8mm) fingerboard radius
- 25,5″ (647.7mm) scale
- 22 medium frets, Evo Gold material, rounded Ball-end frets
- 20mm (0.787″) thickness at the 1-st fret
- 22mm (0.866″) thickness at the 12-th fret
- 43mm (1.692″) width at the nut
- Two way/course truss rod
- Bone nut
Fingerboard: Air dried heavy flamed hard Bulgarian Maple
Construction: Bolt-on, 4 strews pus ferrules
Tuners: GOTOH 510, gold
Bridge: GOTOH, gold
Pickups: Haussel – TE BigMag set
Finish: Oil finish
Strap pins: Schaller locking (or standard, or LOXX)
Weight: 3,600kg (7.9lbs)
Copper shielding protects the entire electronic box and pickups.
