“Aurora” – the Goddess of dawn.
The concept for designing “Aurora” came to life after Sebastian Schmalz (Musikhaus Jever) saw and played the REV II 4-str bass. He was thrilled by the look, the feel, the elegantly rounded shape of the body and the construction of the instrument in general. After some time he decided to share his idea with me to convert this basic bass design into a personalized guitar. My first reaction was – ‘You did it again!’ Aurora is the second guitar model in which Sebastian has made a huge contribution in helping me develop.
It did not take Sebastian long to get my consent to give this project a green light. There were only a couple of things we had to figure out – a new headstock design and of course a name for the project. While I was working on the headstock, Sebastian came up with Aurora for the project name – a well deserved name I would say.
Sebastian has always been a fan of the Superstrat guitars of the 80s and 90s. The Aurora is an evolution of its ancestors in playability, sound and ergonomics – of course, let’s not forget its classy and contemporary look!

Body: Bulgarian 7 years seasoned Walnut core, flamed Balkan (Bulgarian) Maple top and back – three pieces construction. Walnut veneer lamination.
Neck: 3 pieces Bulgarian plain Maple plus two stripes Ebony, CONE core:
