Created in 2006, to date this unique guitar model has earned a remarkable reputation among musicians. According to our clients’ feedback, it is described as “An absolutely sunning, comfortable and playable instrument with no analog.”
I remember when I came up with the idea for the Evolution model – I wanted to build a guitar that would be quite recognizable, yet not too futuristic. I also wanted it to bear contemporary features such as comfort and an ergonomic feel, along with an elegant, classy look.
Over 20 different sketches were made and placed on my workbench. I wanted to select the ideal design that would allow me to bring my idea to life with the hand tools I had available. It didn’t take long before my choice was made. I then began to work on the body, forming the prototype which was the most important part of the entire guitar. I tested and specified the angles of the wings. The body profile I called “trapeze” because of its unusual construction, which provides comfort to both the tummy and the forearm.
Technically this design turned out to be very complex, which required me to make new and intricate adjustments and to create unusual luthier techniques. A few months later the “Evolution” was born.
It wasn’t long before the guitar was noticed by both mainstream music media and musicians alike, and slowly but surely the model gained popularity.
