The KD Jean Special 6-String neck-through guitar is definitely different while retaining elegance and charm. Based on the Silvia Pepecaster model, this guitar carries the desired qualities which – I am certain – every guitar player looks for in an instrument. Boasting incomparable sound, its lightweight body provides absolute comfort, playability, and last but definitely not least – an impressive appearance. The wood was carefully and specifically chosen, as were the hardware and the electronic elements which guarantee an uncompromising end result. Its basic characteristics and the more concrete specifications were entirely given to this project by Jean Sheytanov and were in turn crafted into the new KD Jean special. He shares his impressions of the creative process from beginning to end.
“The character and appearance of this neck-through guitar are based on my own extensive experience as a musician, a composer and my knowledge in the sphere of guitar construction and sound. Thus, it was a great pleasure to get in touch with Kostadin Dimitrov (KD) and share the idea about my project. After a few conversations and a meeting we discussed every single detail and began the construction of the Jean Special 6-String neck-through guitar.
The excitement I felt surrounding the making of this guitar was huge because it was so new and challenging. The finished product was 100% of what I had envisioned regarding the sound and appearance. The design was a complete success. The wood and the hardware together provided a rich sound, long sustain, phenomenal comfort of the neck with access to the last frets, a light weight body, and of course its gentle blue-green appearance, which causes all my senses to relish in the finished product.”
